TalkBack for Feb. 11: Pedestrian bridge, stolen cancer magnet and unwanted calls

Stolen magnet

I had a magnet sticker on my car that said “Cancer Sucks.” I am a cancer survivor, and somebody stole it off the back of my car.

No access

I’d like to know why the new USC Aiken pedestrian bridge doesn’t appear to be handicapped accessible. Steps are shown on one side and a ramp is shown on the other. What is a handicapped person supposed do? Get to the other side and roll down the steps?

Naming the bridge

The bridge from USCA to the Convocation Center should be named after the two officers that were slain – Richardson and Rogers.

No car for you

If we take cars away from people who continuously drive under suspension and under the influence, I think they’d get the message.

Safety

To the person who doesn’t feel safe in Aiken, Aiken is a wonderful city. I feel safe in the county where I live. I feel safe when I go in to the city. This is strictly my opinion. Jesus gave his life for you. Two policemen in Aiken gave their lives for you. What would it take to make you feel safe?

Birthday meal

A birthday girl group met at Cracker Barrel, and someone paid for all of our lunches. There was about 10 of us. God bless you.

Schofield b-ball

I’d like to give a shout out to the Schofield Middle School basketball team for winning the regional championship. Kudos to the coaches and players. They only had one loss all year.

Out-of-area calls

Is there any way to stop getting these out-of-area callers? I get 4 or 5 a day.

Would ya’ll please concentrate on jobs? Quit trying to pass bills to block democratic votes.
