Albert Staley




WAGENER -- Mr. Albert Staley, 7141 Wagener Road, Wagener, died Oct. 26, 2009, at his residence.

He was born on April 8, 1953, in Aiken County to the late Hayes Staley Sr. and Mary Curry Staley. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, was a skilled mechanic and was employed by the Department of Motor Vehicles in Aiken.


He is survived by his wife, Johnnie M. Jackson Staley of the home; a daughter, Priscilla Staley of Columbia; two sons, Tony Jackson of Columbia and Terry Staley of Wagener; a sister, Mildred Staley of Wagener; three brothers, Cliney Staley of Springfield, Warren Staley of Columbia and Hayes Staley Jr. of Columbia; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church with the Elder David Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Fulmer's Funeral Home in Springfield. Friends may call at the residence or the funeral home.
