Allie Mae Abney Scott
HARLEM, Ga. -- Entered into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, Ms. Allie Mae Abney Scott, 88, of Harlem, Ga., wife of the late Lionel C. Scott Sr. and daughter of the late Clifford Abney and the late Jena Harris Scott. She is survived by a son, Denzil Lee Scott of Graniteville, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County until her failing health approximately 10 years ago, at which time she moved to a health care facility in Georgia. She was a retired cloth inspector with Graniteville Company. She was a member of Graniteville First Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing, and she did volunteer work at the VA Hospital in Augusta for many years. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Graniteville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
