Entered into eternal rest on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, Ms. Bernice Berry Kneece, 79, of Aiken, daughter of the late John Henry Berry and the late Essie Cadden Berry. She is survived by sons, Donald L. (Donna) Waters of Longs and Brian E. (Suzanne) Kneece of Aiken; daughters, Angela D. Waters of Aiken and Cathy K. (Jackie) Sizemore of Burnettetown; six grandchildren, Jason (Leslie) Waters, Leslee (John) Fortanbary, Amanda (Chris) Lind, Jennifer McBride, Brian McBride and Hunter Edge; a great-granddaughter, Mallory Lind, who was "the apple of her eye"; an "adopted" daughter, Janice Howell; first cousins, Myrtle Bearden, Barbara Senterfeit and Jerry Beck; and a number of nieces and nephews; and we can't leave out her pets, Lou and Tex, whom she loved dearly. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County. She was retired from Graniteville Company. Until the time of her illness, she was a dedicated member of Highland Pines Baptist Church in Aiken. She was also a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class. She loved her family, which also included her church family, her friends and her grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could make a comedian laugh. Yes, she will truly be missed; life for her has not ended but has just begun in a better land. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Green officiating. The interment will follow at the Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home on Sunday evening, Nov. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bernice's honor, may be made to Highland Pines Baptist Church, 1530 Hampton Ave. N.W., Aiken, SC 29801. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
