Joyce W. Hadden
AVERA, Ga. -- Mrs. Joyce W. Hadden, 75, wife of the late Samuel "Tee" Hadden, entered into rest Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at University Hospital. The family will receive friends this evening, Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Avera, Ga., with Rev. Donald Lumpkin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hadden was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a 35-year retiree of Southern Bell. Her great love was her family; Nanny will be greatly missed.
Her survivors include her children, Carolyn (Tommy) Farmer of Augusta, Cheryl (Clint) Hardy of Evans, Ga., Tracie (Ron) Bryant of Aiken and Tommy (Candice) Hadden of Avera, Ga.; two brothers, Jack Wilk of Mississippi and Gene Wilk of Augusta; a sister, Erlene Hanley; nine grandchildren, Trey Skeens of Augusta, Christy Ross of Columbia, John Story of Augusta, Greg Story of Evans, Ga., Clint Hardy II of Evans, Ga., Julianne Bryant of Aiken, Cory Bryant of Aiken, Tyler Hadden of Avera, Ga., and Sydney Hadden of Avera, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Savannah Rackliffe, Noah Ross, Madison Ross and Gracie Skeens; a very special nephew, Melvin (Debra) Hadden of Bartow, Ga.; many other nieces and nephews and many friends. Pallbearers will be Dan Faust, Bob Hadden, Brady Hadden, Dwain Hadden, Jimmy Hadden, Sam Hadden, John Padgett and Geoffrey Wilk.
The family request honorary memorials be made to Pleasant Grove Church Building Fund, C/O Bobbie Kitchens, 1092 Oak St., Avera, GA 30803 or to The CLL Foundation, Hayden Burns, Director, 1001 Fannin, Suite 100, Houston, TX 77002.
