Eddye H. Garrett
Jackson, SC -- Funeral Services for Mrs. Eddye H. Garrett, 59, of Bluff Landing Road, Jackson, SC, who entered into rest September 8, 2010, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the Matlock Baptist Church. Dr. Mark Riser and Rev. Brian Henderson Officiating. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Garrett was a native of Alabama, a former resident of Georgia, having made Jackson her home for the past 10 years. She was a member of Matlock Baptist Church where she was responsible for starting the Food Pantry Program. Mrs. Garrett was a kind, caring person who always helped others. She was a volunteer with Meals On Wheel and was extremely active in the community.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Harold E. Garrett; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Daniel Williams, Dothan, AL and Becky and Dennis Bailey, Gilbert, SC; a sister, Penny Zaleski, Dothan, AL; seven grandchildren, Jessica Williams, Brianna Williams, Madison Williams, Anslee Williams, Sarah Williams, Colleen Bailey and Erin Bailey, Special Friends Marcia Perron and Larry King.
Pallbearers will be Billy Garrett, Robert Appling, Christopher Mitchell, Garrett Mitchell, Jody Webb and Lee Andrews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening from 6 until 8.
Memorials may be made to the Matlock Baptist Church Food Pantry, 980 Main Street, Jackson, SC 29831.
