Lucinda E. 'Betty' Davis
Lucinda E. "Betty" Davis, 68, died July 2 at home. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. July 5 at Cedar Creek Church with the Rev. Phillip Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born in Union to the late Silas Russell and Cora Lou Gossett Vinson. She was married to the late Rufus Lonnie Davis. She was a member of Cedar Creek Church and retired cosmetologist from Aiken Drug Co. Survivors include her loving children, Lisa (Gerald) Walsh of Williston, Darlene Haley, Luann (Bobby) White, Mandy Davis of Aiken, Wanda (Gary) Reed of Readyville, Tenn., and Mark Raymond Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, David McGee, Brittany Walsh, Caleb White, Elizabeth White and Blair Haley; and sisters, Geraldine Hamilton of Aiken and Kate Jacobsen of North Augusta. Pallbearers will be Russell Hamilton, Paul Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Earl Lockhart, Bob Jackson and Jon Pennington. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Hunt, Carl Jacobsen, Tom Fitzgerald and Gary Reed. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Creek Church, 3001 Banks Mill Road, Aiken, SC 29803. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. July 4 at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave., Aiken.
