RIDGE SPRING -- Funeral services for Mr. Johnny W. Barton Jr., 52, of 1119 Old Four Notch Road, who passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Zion Fair Baptist Church, Dry Branch Road, with the Rev. Bruce Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Patricia Barton of Ridge Spring; his father, Johnny Barton Sr. of Ridge Spring; two sons, Lamarcus Barton of Charlotte, N.C., and Winslow Hendrix of Sand Hill; two daughters, Tasha and Kimberly Hendrix, all of Sand Hill; one sister, Mrs. Ermma Gowdy of Augusta; two brothers, Michael Barton and Morris Barton, both of Ridge Spring; 13 grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; 11 aunts; three great-aunts; seven uncles, and a host of other relatives and loving friends.
Friends may call at the residence or at Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home, Aiken, beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Barton will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
