Richard Lee Able
BATH -- Entered into rest on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, Mr. Richard Lee Able, husband of Mrs. Betty Wheeler Able, 68, of 232 Railroad St., Bath. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Jean "Doodle" Jones.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Theresa Able Kaney of Langley and Angie Able Krauss of Aiken; five sisters, Anna Able of Langley, Peggy Ryals of Gloverville, Cathy Jones of Langley, Nora Still of Beech Island and Lisa Kitchens of Beech Island; two brothers, Johnny Martin and Stevie Martin, both of Beech Island; eight grandchildren, Monica Derrick, Ken Jones, Stephanie Franks, Robert Kaney, Ashley Kaney, Brandi Hitt, Haley Krauss and Andrew Krauss; and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Able was born in Aiken to the late Kenneth and Doris Bell Robinson Able. He retired with twenty five years of service from Bath Water Works. He was a member of New Hope Gospel Church.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the New Hope Gospel Chapel. Friends may call at the residence or on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home, Langley.
