Fay McGee 'Mac' Bodiford
BARNWELL -- Funeral services for Fay McGee "Mac" Bodiford, 60, of Barnwell, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, with burial in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Long Branch Baptist Church Building Fund, 3223 Highway 37, Williston, SC 29853. McGee passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009.
Born in Barnwell County, he was a son of Elma Ruth Ayer Bodiford and the late McLaurin "Mack" Bodiford. McGee was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, retired from the Savannah River Site and was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school. He was the owner of Metal Art and Collectibles.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Hutto Bodiford, of the home; daughter, Kathy B. (Robert) Fox of Williston; sisters, Sybile (Russell) Lain, Nellie Rosier, Arie (Bill) Murphy, all of Barnwell, and Dianne (Bill) Barber of Boone, N.C.; brothers, Jacky Bodiford of Barnwell, James (Faye) Bodiford of Lexington, Ray (Peggy) Bodiford of Long Branch, Donnie Bodiford of North and Roy Bodiford of Siler City, N.C.; granddaughters, Laura and Laney Fox; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Barry Lain.
