Dianne B. Long
WARE SHOALS -- Dianne Bagwell Long, 56, resident of 2 Kirby Lane, died Dec. 16, 2009, at her home.
Born in Greenwood County on June 23, 1953, she was a daughter of Jewell Vaughn Bagwell and the late Edsel R. Bagwell. She was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School. Being an avid gardener, Dianne was employed by The Greenery in Bluffton as a horticulturalist. She was a person of a generous nature and was very devoted to her family and friends.
She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Ware Shoals.
Surviving, in addition to her mother of Greenwood, are her fiancé, Lloyd Drennon of Bluffton; two daughters, Tonya Shirley Thomason and husband Richard of Greenwood and Angela Michelle Shirley of Columbia; a son, Benjamin M. and wife Angela M. Shirley of Greenwood; a brother, Roger D. "Chipper" and wife Margaret Bagwell of Greenwood; grandchildren, Erin Michelle Thomason, Davis B. Shirley and Britt M. Shirley.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Curtis Eidson officiating.
The body is at Blyth Funeral Home.
The family members are at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
Flowers are to be omitted and memorials made to the charity of one's choice.
