Alfred Noilton Mitchell




Alfred Noilton Mitchell, 80, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Soule officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.


Mr. Mitchell, loving husband, father and grandfather, was born in Villa Rica, Ga., to the late Sally Kate Golden Mitchell and Euel E. Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a member of Grace Brethren Church and worked in construction.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothea Faro Mitchell; a daughter, Marcia (Wayne) Morris of Fort Mill; and three sons, Ray Neal (Linda) Mitchell, Wilmington, N.C., Scott Mitchell of Windsor, and Norris (Debra) Mitchell of Buford, Ga.
