Dorothy 'Dot' Taylor Jordan
Dorothy Taylor "Dot" Jordan, 80, of Aiken and Seminole, Fla., died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Born in Winter Haven, Fla., Dorothy was the daughter of the late Tillman Taylor and Rachel Dupree Taylor. She attended high school and college in Winter Haven.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Julian Thomas Jordan Jr. of Aiken; her daughter, Dr. Julie A. Jordan of Aiken; her son, Jay A. Jordan of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren, Alex Jordan, Jason Jordan, Jessica Jordan, Katie Jordan and Eli Jordan; her sister, Evelyn Hayes of Valrice, Fla.; and her brother, James E. Taylor of Auborndale, Fla.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Rodney K. Powell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
