Dewey R. O'Neal
JOHNSTON -- Entered into eternal rest on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, Mr. Dewey R. O'Neal, 61, of Johnston, loving husband of Mary Napier O'Neal and son of the late Oliver O'Neal and the late Ruby Corbin Carroll O'Neal. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Adam O'Neal and David O'Neal, both of Johnston, and Jason O'Neal of Augusta; daughters, Jennifer Hearn of Wagener, Cindy Murrell of Trenton and Denise Mitchell of Beech Island; three brothers; five sisters; and 10 grandchildren. He was born in Sylacauga, Ala., but had been a resident of Johnston for the past 25 years. He was a retired electrician and a U.S. Army veteran, having served his country during the Vietnam War. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who adored his grandchildren. He was always loving and always loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all whose lives he touched. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Napier Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home, today, Thursday, Nov. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials, in Mr. O'Neal's honor, may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Columbia, SC 29204 or to the Veteran Affairs Association. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
