Larry 'Yoke' Oakman
Aiken, SC - Funeral services for Larry "Yoke" Oakman, age 62, husband of Sadie Corley Oakman, of 722 Washington Circle, who entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Aiken Regional Medical Center will be held 2 PM Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Mt. Anna Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Anna-Mt. Harris Cemetery. Mr. Oakman will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM.
Larry was a graduate of Martha Schofield High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Sadie Oakman; three sons, Courtney Corley, Brian Oakman, Anthony Oakman; one daughter, Adrienne Oakman; four grandchildren; one brother, Reginald Oakman; his uncle, Allen Birt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home beginning 3 pm Friday.
