Paul Victor Crofts
A memorial service for Paul Victor Crofts will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 11am at Grace Brethren Church. Interment will be private. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
Mr. Crofts, 89, of Aiken, died Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Born in Evansville, IN, he was the son of the late Victor and Oma Brill Crofts. Before moving to Aiken in 1993 they had lived in Arroyo Grande, Ca. He served in both the Navy and the Air Force, retiring from the Air Force in 1960 as a Chief Master Sergeant.While in the Navy Mr Crofts was stationed at Pearl Harbor during Dec 1941. After retiring from the military Mr Crofts complete another career as office manager for Arrowhead and Puritas Water Co. in Arroyo Grande, Ca. Paul's hobbies included photography, golf and travel. After retiring from civilian life and moving to Aiken, Paul and his wife Lorena enjoyed cruising and touring. He attended the Grace Brethren Church of Aiken for 15 years.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Shawn Crofts, and sister Lucy Thomas. He is survived by his wife of sixty six years Lorena Lytle Crofts, sons, Victor Crofts, New Ellenton, Ronald Crofts, Aiken, grandchildren Greg Crofts, Stacey Newman, Kelli Crofts, GySgt Colin Crofts, Natalie Drake, and nine great grand children.
