Aiken Warriors seeking

tournament donations

The Aiken Warriors' 13U and 15U basketball teams, qualifiers for the National AAU basketball tournament in Hampton, Va., request donations for the upcoming event. The Warriors also guide young men with sessions such as gang intervention, tutoring, and counseling. GA-SC Bulls to continue

ProXtreme camp today

The GA-SC Bulls 2009 ProXtreme Soccer Camp will be for ages 5-17 and will be held in North Augusta at the Hammond's Ferry Soccer Complex today through Wednesday. The sessions will feature professional soccer players from MLS, WPS, and USL soccer teams, including former South Aiken High School standout Mike Gustavson. Sessions from tomorrow-Wednesday will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Registration fee for camp is $150. The second player in the household will receives a $15 discount. A military discount is also available. The first 100 players to register for the camp will be entered into a raffle for an autographed WPS Boston Breakers jersey. All campers need to bring their own water bottle, light snack and lunch. CSRA Baseball taking fall registrations

The CSRA baseball league is now taking registrations for the 2009 fall season. CSRA Baseball is in its second season and all games are played at Citizens Park starting in September. You may sign up as an individual or put together your own team. Age groups are 9-14 years old as of May 1, 2010. For more information and to sign up please visit www.csraleague.com.

CSRA Baseball will be taking registrations for baseball and softball at Citizens Park today from 6-8 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room of CP2. This will be the only time CSRA Baseball will accept registrations at the park. All other must be mailed in according to the instructions at www.csraleague.com. CSRA is for baseball players ages 8-14 and fastpitch softball players ages 9-16.

Aiken Standard looking for high school football help

Do you love football and wish you could get more involved with the Friday night action? Are you comfortable using a computer and summarizing the action on the field? If so, the Aiken Standard has a spot for you. The Standard is looking for assistance to help cover the Friday night action in the paper and on the web. Swim league holding

placements at USC Aiken

The Aiken-Augusta Swim League will be hosting placements at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Aug. 3 at the USC Aiken pool. The placements are available to interested swimmers of all abilities. Children should come prepared to swim, as coaches will watch them swim and make recommendations for proper group placements. New Ellenton Blue Devils currently holding registration

The New Ellenton Blue Devils football and cheerleading squads are currently holding early registration until all spots are filled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the New Ellenton Civic Center. CSRA Shockers holding shopping trip fundraiser

The CSRA Shockers, a local youth organization, will leave for Concord Mills in Concord, N.C., on Aug. 22 for a shopping trip fundraiser. The cost of the trip is $25. South Aiken's cross country team looking for runners

South Aiken High School's cross country team is looking for runners from the seventh to 12th grade to tryout for the team Aug. 5 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the track on campus.
