CHARLESTON -- PalmettoBizBuzz, a website that allows consumers to rate and review local businesses, is looking for the "Most Trusted" businesses in the area.
The BizBuzzBest promotion invites consumers to vote for businesses and professionals who have done the best job of earning their customers' trust.
BizBuzzBest 2008 includes 25 business categories where trust is particularly important for consumers. In order to be eligible to vote in this promotion, consumers must have actually written reviews on PalmettoBizBuzz.
"We want BizBuzzBest 2008 to be more than just a popularity contest," said Ward Lassoe, president of PalmettoBizBuzz. "Our users understand the importance of good customer service, so we believe they're well qualified to decide which businesses are the "Most Trusted" in the Midlands. The more reviews that a consumer has written, the more their vote will be worth."
Voting began Friday and concludes on Thursday, Feb. 21. The winning businesses will be announced on Wednesday, Feb. 27 on WIS-TV (Channel 10 - NBC). Winners will receive a certificate honoring them as one of the "Most Trusted" business in the Midlands for 2008.
To encourage consumers to participate in the BizBuzzBest promotion, PalmettoBizBuzz is sponsoring a prize drawing of $1,000. Everyone who submits a qualified ballot will automatically be entered in the drawing.
