Comment Title: A Really Good Person.
I know "Joey" really well I grew up with him he was like a brother too me the sweetest person ever and he would do anything for anyone he has a child of his own and I know he would never do anything like this these alligations are horrible and I believe this girl has ruined his life and teens need to relize what they are doing with thier lies! Not everyone should jump to conclusions that he is a horrible person because he is not. He is a great guy and always has and will be. I pray for his entire family and hope God can piece his life back together the way it should be he should of just stayed in the Navy. Thats right he also seved our country risked his life for each and everyone of you.

Prayer in schools? Nobody is prevented from praying in school regardless how you oppressive Christians want to spin your latest web of lies. The taxpayers are funding a school not a religious cult therefore schools aren't pushing a specific religion onto others.

people really need to get the point! Its not just the teacher you have 14yr olds who act 16 and lie about their age! My best friend just got charged with having sex with a 15yr old which he was 18 and now he is a sex offender but when we all hungout she was telling us she was 17 and she really looked like it too. I think that parents need to be more strict on their kids and teach them sleeping with people and lying is WRONG!

Poster below me...WOW you just made fun of a 1st year high school kid that may or may not have a learning disability. Do you feel better about yourself? Do you also call 4 year old kids stupid when they don't know how to pronounce something? Many times in teacher-student molestation cases some of the students will notice flirting, but never know what's really going on. Unfortunately, even though the little kids may have been hanging on him, he STILL has to act as an adult. He has to be the teacher and set the line. Once the line is crossed by a student, he should inform the parents and administration. HE crossed the line in this case.

mr. magni was the greatest teacher ever. and i never would think he would ever do a thangg like this. im not saying he didn't do it. but i am saying there were many students hanging all over him at level, and i do mean all over him even when he told them to leave him alone. i would know. i went there last year 8th grade, the year he taught. i don't believe he would do something like this and maybe the person should get all the facts, im not just taking up for him cause i like him as a person but im taking up for him beacause i know, i've been in a situation like this. p.s. he was a great teacher, and i cried when i read this.

Duke University LaCrosse team had an incident a while back. Maybe you heard about it. The girl was a liar! All of the players and coaches suffered! Has there been as much publicity regarding their innocence? I think not. Please do not judge yet. He has not even gone to court!

The female teacher arrested a few weeks ago is not a current teacher at Leavelle McCampbell and has not been there the past couple years. As for the current arrest- he will be dealt with- that is a promise. Finally, What are they teaching at Leavelle? They are teaching our children how to read, how to figure out math problems, how to dissect worms, how the environment affects animals, the justice system, the formation of the state of South Carolina, how to find a connection between school and their future...need I go on? You cannot judge what is being done at the school by the stupidity of those recently arrested. Don't make judgement on a school whose doors you have probably not walked through. And certainly don't judge the incredible administration, faculty, and staff that work with the students every day. Perhaps you should go back and look at the recent accomplishments by the Leavelle Faculty and Students. Just check the Aiken Standard. Be careful how you judge lest you be judged!

Comment Title: Going on forever
It might be hard to believe but this is nothing new in Aiken County or any other county. It would appear that teachers are much more careless and students talk much more than in the past. Therefore people are being arrested. Male and Female teachers. I was not an unwilling victim, however at the age of 15 I was a willing male participant with female teachers in Aiken County Schools. It began at Schofield and continued into Aiken High School. This was in 9 th. 10 th. and 11 th. grades. beginning in 1971. Different teacher each year, all three were married, two had children of their own. I still see two of them (by accident) in and around Aiken. We speak kindly to each other but we never speak of those times. I am not Bragging, it's not something you want others to know. I simply ask God to forgive me and them. It's not only Teachers. It's also your next door neighbor who is either best friends with the mother or father of the teenager. I also know this to be a true fact from experience. At times I think about those days and I do have some regrets. However to this day I respect each of those ladies. I was not harmed or endangered in any way. I was in no way forced to do anything. In defense of myself I will state that in each case, the adult was the aggressor. I’m sure the “Aiken Standard” can identify the source location of all these post but I will not place my name here as that would be very disrespectful of me. It took a few more years but I grew up and have no hard feelings toward any. I'm sure that I am not alone, not then not now.

Hey, maybe this guy is a great teacher! P.S. I think the Aiken Theater had better think about cleaning the upholstery, don't you?
