Former Aiken County teacher arrested for sex with minor
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former Aiken County middle school teacher on charges of lewd acts and criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Joseph Jay Magni Jr., 28, of Cannon Knoll Road, Lexington, has been charged with five counts each of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and lewd acts.
Aiken County Sheriff’s Office juvenile investigators allege that, between the months of May and June 2009, Magni did
commit criminal sexual conduct and a lewd act on a minor, a 14-year-old female victim, while at the Aiken Mall Cinemas.
In addition, investigators allege that Magni did, during this same time frame, commit a lewd act and criminal sexual conduct on a 14-year-old female victim while at his then-current workplace, Leavelle McCampbell Middle School in Graniteville.
