Wilson wins risk management award
Greg Wilson of Newman Technology in Aiken is the recipient of the Recognition of Excellence in Risk Management award.
The award from Key Risk, a provider of workers compensation insurance products and services for employers throughout the Eastern United States, was presented to Wilson by Key Risk's Senior Loss Control Specialist Thomas Lynch and Senior Vice President and Carolinas Regional Director Anne Myers.
"Mr. Wilson was recognized by Key Risk's loss control team for his dedication to developing and strengthening safety programs for Newman Technology," said Myers. "His expertise is well known throughout the organization, and he is truly committed to improving workplace safety for all employees."
The award recognizes Wilson's commitment to delivering better outcomes in workplace safety. Responsible for risk management, including the development and support of safety programs, Wilson has been a leader in promoting an effective approach to workplace safety since joining Newman Technology in 2006.
"The daily contributions of all of our associates support the overall safety culture here at Newman Technology. I would like to dedicate this recognition to the entire Newman Technology team," Wilson said.
He also extended "a special salute and thanks to all NTSC Safety Committee members past and present for their voluntary contributions to workplace safety, to Thomas Lynch and the entire Key Risk Team and to my co-managers and senior managers for their continued support.
"Newman Technology has made significant progress in our safety program but we must continue to move forward and integrate safety into all business activities, for even one injury on the job is one too many."
The Risk Manager Award program was designed by Key Risk to honor individuals who have demonstrated the ability to identify, monitor and reduce work-related injuries. Presented on an annual basis, the awards recognize recipients for their development, implementation and management of employee safety programs.
Rob Standen, president of Key Risk, announced the risk manager awards.
"At Key Risk we believe workers compensation is a relationship business, and we are pleased to honor risk managers who share our passion for employee safety," said Standen. "The individuals recognized have worked diligently to implement and support programs focused on promoting a healthy and safe workplace."
