Gunmen rob Kangaroo Express
Police are searching for two men who robbed The Kangaroo Express at 349 Edgefield Road in North Augusta Thursday night.
About 10:30 p.m., two men walked into the store, pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money, according to a news release from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.
The cashier gave one of the suspects money from the register and the second suspect grabbed several cigars and placed them in a black bag.
The suspects ran from the store down a nearby street.
The suspects were described as black males dressed in all black clothing, black gloves, black ski masks and bandanas. One suspect is described as between 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighing 160 to 170 pounds and between 20 and 25 years old.
The second suspects was described as between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 to 170 pounds.
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office Tracking Team responded and searched the area.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these individuals is asked to contact Investigator Chuck Cain at the Aiken County Sheriff's Office at (800) 922-9709 or call CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at (888) 599-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of between $50 and $1,000.
