Jackson man faces sex charges
A Jackson man was jailed Tuesday on allegations he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old victim at a Jackson location on Valentine's Day 2005.
Dean Thomas Fasenmyer, 34, of Green Pond Road in Jackson, is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct and committing a lewd act on a child under 16.
According to arrest warrants, the man had sexual intercourse with the victim.
Warrants were issued for Fasenmyer's arrest on Thursday.
Deputies seek person of interest
Aiken County Sheriff's Office deputies continue to search for the man they have identified as a person of interest who may have knowledge about the shooting death of Marques Tyler.
Tyler's body was found on Feb. 10 on Stillwater Road in Windsor after he had been missing for nearly three months.
Investigators have not talked with Matthew Lamar Jackson Jr., 22, of Windsor Road, as of late Wednesday.
Tyler was last seen alive on Nov. 19, 2008.
The Sheriff's Office has outstanding warrants for Jackson for unlawful use of a telephone and a bench warrant for weapons charges.

Individuals also should call CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at (888) CRIME-SC. Callers can remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of between $50 and $1,000.
âóè Aiken Regional Medical Centers has organized a drill that will be at Aiken Regional Medical Centers on Thursday morning.
Officials will respond as if there was a major earthquake in the Midwest and many hospitals and health care facilities suffered catastrophic damage.
The actors will be patients sent to Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
The drill will be under way around 10 a.m. at the hospital.
âóè An employee at the Richland Avenue Food Lion reportedly broke a sprinkler head at the store, activating the system, after a caller reportedly ordered him to do so, according to police reports.
The employee told police he was contacted by phone by an unidentified person who told him the store's sprinkler system was going to be activated and he should break the sprinkler heads to shut them down.
Doing so, however, turns them on.
The caller also reportedly told the man to break out a window, but the employee said he did not.
Police said the identity of the caller is still unknown.
The incident is under investigation.
âóè A vehicle parked at the corner of Columbia Avenue and Laurens Street was damaged when someone reportedly flattened three tires on a vehicle. Police reported finding that the tires were flattened.
âóè An Edrie Oaks Circle resident called police earlier this week to report that two men had been questioning residents about their alarm systems, asking if they wanted an upgrade.
âóè A Maple Street resident reported to police that she lost 22 WIC vouchers for baby's milk. Each WIC voucher is valued at $15. The vouchers cannot be used unless they are signed.
