ACSO names person of interest in murder
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is looking for Matthew Lamar Jackson Jr., 22, of 2243 Windsor Road, Springfield, as a person of interest in the murder of Marques Tyler.
Tyler was last seen alive on Nov. 19, 2008. His body was found covered by debris on Feb. 10 on the 50 block of Stillwater Road in Windsor. The Sheriff's Office currently has outstanding warrants on Jackson for unlawful use of a telephone and a bench warrant for weapons charges.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff's Office at (800) 922-9709 or (803) 642-1781, ext. 1715 if you wish to remain anonymous. Individuals also should call CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at (888) CRIME - SC. Callers can remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of between $50 and $1,000.
