Sadie Mae Wells Ables

WAGENER -- Mrs. Sadie Mae Wells Ables of Wagener passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at her residence.

She was born April 25, 1934, in Wagener. She was the youngest child of five brothers and was born to the late Quitman and Annie Brown Wells.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Johnson of Wagener; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, a host of cousins and many loving relatives and caring friends.

A grandchild preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30 at J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad Ave. W. Services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. from the Antioch Bible Way Church, 614 Seivern Road, Wagener, with the Elder Abraham Pontoo officiating. Burial will be in Swedenburg-Gunter Cemetery, Wagener.

Frances Cluck

NORTH AUGUSTA -- Mrs. Frances Cluck, 81, of North Augusta, beloved wife of the late Jack Cluck and daughter of the late Elijah and Ethel Vickery, entered into rest Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010.

Born in Summerset, Ky., she had been an area resident since 1962. Mrs. Cluck was a member of Belvedere United Methodist Church, Belvedere. She retired from Augusta Concrete and Block.

Family members include children, Cathey Williams and her husband, Robert, of North Augusta and Dan Cluck and his wife, Judy, of Dacula, Ga.; and grandchildren, Amanda Williams, Michael Williams and Zoe Cluck.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at 11 a.m. from the graveside in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, with the Rev. Ann Everett officiating.

If so desired, the family has asked that memorials in memory of Frances be made to the American Cancer Society. (www.cancer.org).

The family will greet friends Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley.

Isaac Frazier

Mr. Isaac Frazier of 120 Kershaw St. N.E., Aiken, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 29, 2010, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Friends may call at his residence or at Miller's Funeral Home, 136 Kershaw St. S.E., Aiken, 649-2055.

George Steven Kalin

Mr. George Steven Kalin, 70, died Jan. 29, 2010, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was born in Paterson, N.J., to the late Joseph and Martha Konesky Kalin. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University, a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church and retired marketing manager with Eastman Chemical Products Inc. and Kosa Corp. He moved to Aiken six years ago and was a member of the Reserve Club at Woodside. Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Mulcaha Kalin; and beloved children, Kathy (Chad) Redwine of Charlotte, N.C., and G. Steven (Salley) Kalin Jr. of Wilton, Conn. Other survivors include grandchildren, Madeline Kalin, William Kalin and Grant Redwine. A memorial service will be held at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church at a later date. Calvin Setters

Entered into rest Jan. 26, 2010, at Medical College of Georgia, Mr. Calvin Setters Sr., 42, husband of Mrs. Christina King Setters.

Mr. Setters, a native of Kentucky, lived in Aiken and was a former truck driver.

Additional survivors include three sons, James, Calvin and Steven Setters, all of Aiken; a daughter, Krislynn Setters of Aiken; a grandson, James Setters; three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Taylor Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Setters, Calvin Setters, Donald Setters, Billy Moon, Matt Turner and Johnny Yeager.

Jerry S. Attaway

NORTH AUGUSTA -- A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jerry Attaway, 48, who died Friday, son of John and Doris, brother of Terrie and Lynne and uncle of James, Kevin, Austin and Lauren, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley. The family will greet friends immediately following the service Sunday at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley.
