Jackson man shot in leg while walking in woods

A Jackson man was shot in the leg Saturday while walking through the woods along Bettis Academy Road in Graniteville, according to a sheriff’s report. The victim said he heard seven gunshots but didn’t see anyone firing. He was transported to Georgia Health Services Medical Center.

Man alleges he was robbed by multiple men

An Aiken man reported Sunday that he was a victim of an armed robbery, according to a police report. The man told police he was walking down South Boundary early that morning, and, when he reached Timberlane Road, a vehicle pulled up with three to four men. They exited the vehicle, one holding a pump shotgun, chambered a round and ordered him to empty his pockets. He left the items on the ground and left unharmed. The vehicle was described as a burgundy SUV, possibly an Expedition.
