Police Blotter for Jan. 3
* A prowler was reported in an Old Barnwell Road backyard in Aiken near an abandoned trailer.
* An unlocked car was reportedlybroken into on Edisto Drive in North Augusta. A checkbook was taken. An Air Jordan backpack was reportedly stolen from another unlocked car on the same street.
* Four unlocked cars on the 400 block of McNair Drive in North Augusta were reportedly broken into over the weekend. A flat screen DVD/stereo system was taken from one and a GPS unit from another, according to reports.
* An unlocked car was reportedly broken into on Catawba Road in North Augusta. A cell phone was reported stolen.
* An Aiken woman reported vandalism after expletives were scratched onto the hood, passenger side and trunk of her car, and two tires were flattened. The damage totaled $1,200, according to the incident report.
* A Windsor man reported that a firecracker was set off in his Oak Ridge Club Road mailbox.
* A window of a vehicle was reportedly broken on Charleston Highway in Williston.
* A Carrie Lane home in Ridge Spring was broken into, but nothing was missing, according to a Sheriff's Office report.
* An Aiken man reported that he found a .40 caliber bullet on the floor of his home on Union Church Road. The bullet came through the ceiling and may have been part of a New Year's Eve celebration, according to a Sheriff's office report.
* Items including a marine battery for a boat and two drop cordswere stolen from two Montmorenci Road residences in Aiken, according to reports.
* A Bulovia Rolex watch valued at $255 was reportedly stolen from a vehicle inside of an unlocked car garage on Barnwell Avenue, according to an Aiken Public Safety report.
* A window was reportedly broken at Second Baptist School on Laurens Street, but nothing was reported missing, according to the incident report.
* A vehicle was reportedly broken into on Horry Street in Aiken.
* A vehicle was reportedly broken into on Lancaster Street in Aiken. A GPS unit was taken.
* A 50-pound brown pit bull mix with a small white patch on its chest was reportedly stolen from an Alderman Street N.E. address on New Year's Day.
* An Aiken man reported that his debit card was fraudulently used to purchase $150 worth of merchandise on the Victoria's Secret website.
* A window of a vehicle parked on Laurens Street was broken and a purse left inside was stolen.
* Three bicycles were reportedly stolen from a Solann Street address in Aiken.
* A vehicle parked on Abbeville Avenue was reportedly broken into and a Coach purse and wallet valued at $650 were stolen.
* Aiken Public Safety responded to a burglar alarm at a Laurens Street church, where a computer monitor, keyboard and mouse were reportedly stolen from the office.
* A store window was reportedly broken at City Billiards on Richland Avenue.
* A GPS was reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked on Edgefield Avenue in Aiken.
* A cell phone and an iPod were reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked on Greenville Street N.W.
* A break-in was reported by a man parked on Highland Park Terrace in Aiken, and a GPS unit was stolen from his unlocked vehicle.
* Four vehicles were reportedly broken into while parked at the American Legion post on Hampton Avenue. Debit and credit cards, a zebra print purse, and a checkbook were among the items stolen from the vehicles, according to the incident reports. Windows were broken in each case.
* A vehicle break-in was reported on Holly Lane in Aiken, and a $10 McDonald's gift card was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
* A checkbook, digital camera, ATM card and credit cards were reportedly taken from a pink zebra print purse left in a vehicle on Richland Avenue.
