Mr. and Mrs. George Branson Hyatt of Aiken announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Leigh Hyatt of Aiken, to Craig Allan Engle of Aiken, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Leon Engle. The wedding is planned for July 12, 2008, in Waynesville, N.C.
The bride-elect is a maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William J. Martin of New Milford, N.J., and a paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Hilda Hyatt and the late Allen Hyatt of Waynesville, N.C. She is a 2004 graduate of South Aiken High School. She will graduate from Wofford College on May 18 with a degree in psychology. She will be attending the Medical University of South Carolina in May where she will pursue a master's degree in speech pathology.
The bridegroom-elect is a maternal grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Harold Arrington of Akron, Ohio, and a paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Engle of Mishawaka, Ind. He is a 2004 graduate of Wardlaw Academy. He will graduate from Presbyterian College on May 10 with a degree in business administration/accounting. He will attend the College of Charleston in August to pursue a master's degree in accounting. He is employed by Elliott Davis LLP.
