Brotherton - Mesimer

Mandy Michelle Mesimer of Myrtle Beach and Kevin Michael Brotherton of Aiken were married March 29, 2008, in Myrtle Beach at the First United Methodist Church. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Marty E. Mesimer. The Revs. Scarlett Hester and Stephen Phillips officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marty Eric Mesimer of Myrtle Beach. She is a granddaughter of Pat N. Singleton and the late John B. Singleton and Mr. and Mrs. William E. Perdue.
The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Willys H. Brotherton Jr. of Aiken. He is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Prather Sr. and the late Mrs. Daisy Prather and Mrs. Neva Brotherton and the late Mr. Willys H. Brotherton Sr.
Katherine Haney of Myrtle Beach was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Angela Mesimer of Atlanta, Ga., sister of the bride; Brittany Mesimer of Myrtle Beach, sister of the bride; Kristen Carter of Columbia, friend of the bride; Hope Oerman of Aiken, sister of the groom; and Miranda Clegg-Moore of Charleston, friend of the bride.
Mr. Willys H. Brotherton Jr. of Aiken was the best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Brotherton of Aiken, brother of the groom; Nick Corbin of Augusta, Ga., friend of the groom; Duc Tan Nguyen of Columbia, friend of the groom; Lee Nelson of Aiken, friend of the groom; and Robert Freeman of Columbia, friend of the groom.
Ushers were Nick Pritchard, Evan Redd, Andrew Miller and Greg Morgan.
Brandon Oerman of Aiken was the special helper.
Following a reception in the Dunes Golf and Beach Club, the couple left for a wedding trip to the mountains.
They will reside in Aiken.
The bride is a graduate of Myrtle Beach High School. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
The bridegroom is a graduate of South Aiken High School. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. He is employed by Washington Safety Management Solutions LLC.
