Ellen Marie Majzlik of Aiken and Steven Zane Abbott of Greer were married May 10, 2008, in Campobello at Spiegel Farms. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Edward Majzlik Jr. The Rev. Brad Atkins officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Majzlik Jr. of Aiken. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. Anne Spinelli and the late Mr. James Spinelli and Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Majzlik Sr.
The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Steven Abbott of Greer. He is a grandson of Mr. Willard C. Bailey and the late Mrs. Dorothy Bailey and Mr. James Abbott and Ms. Catherine Abbott.
Stefanie Marie Spinelli of Devon, Pa., cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor. Dr. Anna Majzlik Hicks of Memphis, Tenn., sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Yost Cowherd of Columbia, friend of the bride; and Melia Ellen Courtney of Greenville, friend of the bride.
Jonathan Scott Cowherd of Columbia was the best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Jacob Abbott of Greer, brother of the groom; Jameson Kyle Finch of Greer, friend of the groom; and Jared Kirby of Landrum, friend of the groom.
Following a reception at Spiegel Farms, the couple left for a wedding trip to the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
They will reside in Greer.
The bride is a graduate of Aiken High School. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in nursing. She is employed by the Greenville Hospital System.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Greer High School. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in finance. He is employed by Hertz Equipment Rental.
