ANDERSON -- Mr. John Dewey Woodward II entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Richard M. Campbell Nursing Home in Anderson.

Born on August 20, 1920, in Aiken County, he was the son of the late John Dewey and Nettie (Reddi) Woodward. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

In addition to his wife, Lillie Belle, he is also survived by sons, Willis Woodward, Ernest Woodward and Matthew Woodward; daughter, Evelma W. Davenport; sisters, Amelia W. Moorehead and Rubenia W. Pinckney; 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008, in the Woodlawn-Sosebee Funeral Home Chapel, Anderson. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008, at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military rites.

Woodlawn-Sosebee Funeral Home and Cremation Services will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
