Remembering our loved one as she takes her eternal rest ... Mrs. Geneva Smith Rogers, 89 years of age and a resident of 507 Richmond Circle, New Ellenton, S.C., was quietly escorted away from this life of trials and tribulation on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, while at her residence.

The funeral service in honorable tribute will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2008, at the Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Beech Island, S.C., with the Rev. M.D. Mack, pastor, officiating. The interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Rogers, was a native of Aiken County, S.C., a member of the Runs Missionary Baptist Church and was a former homemaker.

She will be remembered for all the love and devotion that she spread throughout her family.

She listened to God's calling and left behind her as humbled survivors two sons, Jimmie Rodgers and Robert Rogers (Eartha); two daughters, Marilyn Rice (James Jr.) and Mattie B. Adams; five grandchildren, Kenneth, Constance (Randy), Katina, Donald and Ricky (Cheryl); five sisters, Lillie Feaster (the Rev. Thomas E.), Rosetta Clark, Eldora Barrow, Gwendolyn Butler and Myrtis Eubanks; six brothers, Amos Eubanks (Bobbie), Silas Eubanks Jr., Johnnie Eubanks, Simeon J. Eubanks, Leroy Eubanks (Pat) and Eddie Eubanks (Juanita); and a host of other grieving extended relatives and gracious friends in the communities who will pay tribute in honor of their loved one.

The family will be receiving friends at the residence. The viewing will be held on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
