Amy Lyons Bates and Derrick Levin Bates of Modoc announce the birth of their son, Evan Joseph Lyons Bates, born May 15, 2008, at 2:23 p.m. at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga., He weighed 8 pounds and was 20 inches long.

Grandparents are John and Jackie Lyons, Michelle Lyons and Patti Shirey, all of North Augusta, and the late Ray Bates Jr. of Warrenville.

Landry and Kristen Cullum of Aiken announce the birth of their daughter, Dakota Chaisse Cullum, born June 13, 2008, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Grandparents are Martha Tyler and Delores Byrd of Aiken.

The baby has one sibling, Ajareé, age 16.

Nykelia Hammond and Octavis Johnson of Blackville announce the birth of their son, Zion Octavius Johnson, born June 27, 2008, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Grandparents are Betty and Leroy Hammond and Sonji and Thomas Johnson.

The parents, family and friends are very happy for the new bundle of joy in their life.

Khal and Tarana White of Aiken announce the birth of their son, Keenan Elijah White, born June 27, 2008, at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

Grandparents are Mr. Ralph Martin of Brooklyn, N.Y., Audrey Rivera of Blackville and Bernard and Georgianna White of Bronx, N.Y. Margaret Freeman of Blackville is the great-grandmother.

Richard and Trina Terlizzi of Aiken announce the birth of their son, Richard Samuel Terlizzi II, born June 24, 2008, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Grandparents are Dominick and Andrea Minolfo of Aiken and the late Frank and Louise Terlizzi.

The baby has four siblings, Christy, 23; Anna, 20; Lydia, 6 and Dominick, 5.

Janna and Kris Blakeney of Aiken announce the birth of their daughter, Sally Ann Blakeney, born June 25, 2008, at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. David Widder of Blacksburg, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Blakeney of Sunset.
