Columbia names its president's list

The following students were named to the president's list for the Spring Semester at Columbia College: Kristin Bowman, Nicole Hill, Lindsey Meghan Slaughter and Sandra Rebecca Hall.

Area students make dean's list

The following students were named to the dean's list for the Spring Semester at Columbia College: Tara Maria Dennis, Meghann Padgett, Kristen Kay Roszell, Rhonda Lynn Sanders, and Christine Shirley.

Furner accepted to aeronautical school

Arik Furner of Aiken has been accepted to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla.

A graduate of Silver Bluff High School, Furner will be a member of the 2008 Embry-Riddle freshman class. He is the son of Lis and J. Furner.

David Hinsdale will be deployed to Iraq

David M. Hinsdale of North Augusta will be deployed to Iraq where he will be an Ammo Tech.

He is the son of Mark D. and Mary L. Hinsdale of Matthews.

Gallops can be seen in 'Nailed'

Harley and Ryan Gallop of Wagener will be featured as extras in the movie "Nailed."

They are the sons of Harley and Tony Gallop.
