A memorial service for Mrs. Jeanne C. Rockwell will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at 3 p.m. at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church in Aiken. Interment will take place in Riverhurst Cemetery in New York state at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to ACTS, Aiken Women's Heart Fund or Molly's Militia. Mrs. Rockwell, 84, of Aiken, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at her residence. Jeanne Rockwell graduated from C.S. Wilson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She was employed there as a registered nurse until her retirement in 1982. She was a longtime resident of both Conklin and Morris, N.Y. She was a member of the Conklin Presbyterian Church. In 1994, she moved to Aiken, S.C., where she had been active in the Woodside Ladies Golf Association and an avid volunteer for ACTS. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dewey Rockwell, and four siblings. She is survived by her son, Thomas Rockwell and his wife Elizabeth of Conklin, N.Y.; her daughter, Jeanne Martin and her husband Chris of Aiken, S.C.; and four grandchildren, Kristen Martin of West Ashley, S.C., Katie Martin of Clifton, N.J., Sara Rockwell of Binghamton, N.Y., and James Rockwell of Conklin, N.Y.
