ACSO arrests carjack suspect
A Graniteville man suspected of attacking a motorist and stealing the victim's pickup truck in North Augusta last week surrendered to Aiken County Sheriff's Office deputies Friday night.

On May 5, a man asked the victim for a ride at a Bank of America ATM outside Kangaroo Express at Highway 25 and Belvedere-Clearwater Road in North Augusta. The victim, a North Augusta resident, drove the subject to a synagogue, police report.
As the driver prepared to drop off the subject, the man attacked the victim, pushed him out of the truck and drove away. Later the same day, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office recovered the stolen 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck in Augusta, according to the press release.
Surveillance video shows another man using the victim's stolen credit card at four different convenience and grocery stores in Richmond County between 6:30 and 9 a.m. and then driving away in the victim's stolen pickup.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday arrested this individual, Terry L. Hanna, 41, of Grant Avenue in North Augusta. He faces charges in Richmond County for the use of the stolen credit cards.
