Beatrice J. Chisolm

Mrs. Beatrice J. Chisolm entered into rest Wednesday, May 7, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Chisolm Sr., in 1988. She is survived by her three children, Barbara J. Nero of Aiken, S.C., Aaron Chisolm Jr. of Beech Island, S.C. and Michael Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a devoted friend and companion of 15 years, Harry Echols Sr.; three sisters, Mildred Williams and Leanna Buggs, both of Aiken, S.C., and Nomadean Johnson of Elmhurst, N.Y.; one brother, Leon Johnson of Aiken, S.C.; two aunts, Hattie Dore of Aiken, S.C., and Nomadean Johnson of Elmhurst, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Flowers and memorials may be sent to Reids Funeral Home in Augusta, Ga. Inquiries can be made at her daughter, Barbara J. Nero's, at (803) 648-3013. Mrs. Chisholm's final resting place will be at the Johnson Cemetery in Aiken, S.C., on Highway 278. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 12, 2008, at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Myers officiating. Interment will be in Johnson Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2 to 6 p.m. at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home.
