Defensive end Anthony Addison, a three-star recruit from Sumter, has announced his commitment to play football at South Carolina.

Addison (6-3, 215) had visited South Carolina last weekend to watch the Gamecocks’ first major scrimmage of the spring.

“They’ve told me I can come up anytime, so I went up there and got to watch them practice, and just strengthened my relationship with the coaches even more,” Addison said. “Got to get to know some of the players a whole lot better. It was a good visit.”

Addison posted six sacks and 25 tackles for loss in his junior season, helping Sumter finish 11-2. The edge rusher is the fourth USC commitment for the 2025 class and second on the defensive side of the ball, joining Abbeville safety Damarcus Leach, who committed to the Gamecocks earlier this week.

Addison also received offers from Tennessee, Duke, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, USF and Liberty, among others.

The Gamecocks also have 2025 commitments from receivers Jayden Sellers and Brian Rowe.
